This Couple Turned Their Floor Into Something Incredible

What you’re about to see definitely isn’t your average home renovation. In fact, it’s not your average DIY in general!
You stumble upon so many ridiculously creative projects nowadays while traversing the interwebs that it’s hard to keep straight all of the awesome stuff you want to do. And in some cases, there’s an overload of the same sort of things, but I can assure you this one is one of a kind.
This couple transformed their home foyer in a way you’ve never seen, using hundreds of tree stumps and some good old fashioned creativity. Check out these photos to see the process from start to finish, and trust me, you’ll be amazed!
The Arizona couple used a technique call “cordwood construction” which takes debarked logs (found or cut down) to stack and mortar into flooring or structures.

They used the cordwood technique to re-vamp their unsightly concrete floor. All it took was a little sweeping, mopping, and placement of wood disks!
The wood used was gathered legally from the state forest. The species “Shaggy Bark Juniper” and “Alligator Bark Juniper” had died and fallen down naturally.
After putting each piece of wood through the chop saw set at 1″, the couple sanded the discs down and glued them to the floor. 83fe3a24-7c00-43a8-984c-12189810cb60
